Born to a wealthy family of Constantinople and trained in England as a physiotherapist, she gave up her Athens practice after her mother's death and went to India to serve the poor and the lepers. Tonsured a nun in Bethany, she served on four continents, kept an open house in Athens for whoever came, and reposed on Leros in 1992.
