Born Floarea in Bucharest, she and her husband Antonie raised four sons in the faith, one of whom became Saint Callinicus of Cernica. Widowed, she entered the Pasărea Skete on her son's counsel, was tonsured into the great schema as Filofteia, and reposed there in 1833.
