Bishop of Dalmatia and Istria from 1890 to 1912 and the foremost canonist of the Serbian Church, whose Orthodox Church Law became the standard handbook of the subject. He defended his scattered Dalmatian flock against pressure to submit to Rome, resigned under political attack, and reposed at Dubrovnik in 1915.
