A Cretan monk and abbot of the Monastery of Panagia Angarathos who shepherded the throne of St Mark from 1569 to 1590, through hard years for the Church of Alexandria. He is remembered above all for saving the patriarchal archives and manuscripts, and he reposed at Lindos on Rhodes.
